Illness can make it difficult to care for pets.
The Cinnamon Trust is a national charity which helps people in their last years retain their companion animals. Volunteers help with care of pets when the owners cannot manage, and will foster pets when the owners need hospital care.
The Cinnamon Trust also provides long term care for pets whose owners have died or moved to residential accommodation which will not accept pets.
Bath Cats and Dogs Home is a registered charity based at Claverton Down, near the University of Bath that operates in Bath, North East Somerset and West Wiltshire areas. They are one of the largest re-homing centres in the UK.
