Wiltshire department of Community Services runs a Carers Emergency Card Scheme. Carers registered with the scheme carry an identification card that activates a 24 hour emergency response service if they are involved in an accident or emergency. The response service will call nominated contacts or Social Care Services to ensure that the person being cared for is not left unsupported.
