Creative therapy offers you the opportunity to explore creative arts such as painting, crafts, music, drama and horticulture.
This can help to give a focus, structure or diversion at a time of difficulty and even emotional distress. Those who find it difficult to articulate and manage their feelings can benefit from using alternative means of expression.
Creative therapies are available for Dorothy House patients attending the Day Patient Unit, on the In-Patient Unit and at our outreach centres.
There is a life stories service which provides you with the opportunity to create a record of your life and memories. This is available through the Creative Therapies Coordinator and delivered by a team of trained volunteers.
