Many of us need to find something positive to focus on to help us deal
with grief and loss after the death of a loved one. Recognising this
need, Dorothy House Hospice Care has introduced the tulip fund, as a
way of remembering someone special and supporting the continuing care
given to patients and their families.
A tulip fund is set up in the name of the person you wish to honour
and remember. Friends, relatives and colleagues can make donations to
the fund at any time, and the fund is kept open as long as you wish
it to continue.
People may wish to make a single donation, a regular gift or even arrange
or participate in a fundraising event in memory of a loved one. All
these gifts will go into the named tulip fund, and we will keep you
updated on its progress.
The fund can provide a focus for celebrating the memory of your loved
one while at the same time raising money so we can continue to provide
free nursing care to those who need it.
If you would like further information
about the tulip fund, or would like to discuss setting up a tulip fund
in the name of someone you love, then contact Paula Carter, tulip fund
administrator - contact details below.Once your tulip fund is in place,
the Dorothy House fundraising team will be able to give you plenty of
advice about how to make it grow. From single or regular donations to
running the London Marathon or even climbing a mountain, the team will
be on hand to offer as little or as much help and support as you want.
