About the A-Z

What is it?

The A to Z contains advice on where to go for help and support for a wide range of problems.  It does not attempt to duplicate the information available elsewhere but instead it lists the organisations and websites that provide this information. Most of the organisations mentioned are national ones, often with local branches throughout the UK. We also mention ones that operate within the catchment area of Dorothy House.

How to use it

The information provided here is organised by keywords or phrases. 
Click on a letter to see a list of key words or phrases that begin with that letter. Then click on a keyword or phrase to see the detailed information associated with it.
The detail pages have some general information about the keyword. Often this is followed by a few useful contacts and/or useful websites. On the left hand side, next to the details you may see some more keywords that relate to the one you are reading about. You can click on these to quickly jump between related pages.
The number of A to Z pages will expand over time as we receive requests and suggestions for more keywords. 
If you cannot find what you need in the alphabetic lists, try using the search box in the heading line. If you are still unsuccessful, please contact the A to Z team through the link in the heading line and ask for the item to be added.
