Serving c.½ a million people across approx. 700 sq. miles, Dorothy House Hospice Care is the primary “end of life” support provider to the Bath/Wiltshire & Somerset borders. Providing a mixture of Residential/In-Patient, Hospice at Home and Community based support services to approx. 900 people per day, they deliver solace and support…underpinned by a unique sense of place, purpose, respite and respect across their portfolio of activities. This is based on a sound financial platform with a £11m budget and an employed establishment of approximately 400 staff supported by a deployed volunteer force of over 1,200 across their HQ, 2 outreach centres and 28 retail facilities. It is a sophisticated, complex operation with genuine brand equity and a strong Board and Executive team.
Income generation through our Retail and Fundraising departments and sound financial governance are key to maintaining and developing these critical services for our community.
The Board of Trustees are therefore looking to recruit two trustees, one with professional and practical Fundraising, Marketing and Communication experience and one with significant Investment and Finance expertise to join and complement the range of skills on the Board.
