Dusk Memory Walk

A sponsored 5km dusk walk for eveyone, starting and ending at Dorothy House Winsley, in memory of loved ones.

The Dusk Memory Walk is a sponsored, circular springtime walk that starts and ends in the grounds of the hospice as daylight begins to fade, and finishes with the placing of candles and messages in memory of a loved one.

The walk is open to all, including children and even the dog. This early evening walk starts at 7pm and takes participants on a five-kilometre walk through beautiful countryside. Part of the walk will be through fields so could be muddy. Sensible footwear should be worn. We regret that the route is NOT suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

This is a sponsored event – no minimum amount is specified, but of course we’d like you to raise as much as you can please, as all the money will go towards helping our patients and their families. If you feel that raising sponsorship might be difficult, you are most welcome to make a donation instead; the suggested donation is £20 per adult.
