Festive bauble supports hospice care

Festive bauble supports hospice care

November 9th 2011

Bath Aqua Glass is producing a very special Christmas bauble this year – to support the work done in the community by Dorothy House Hospice Care. The ‘Dotty’ bauble, in clear glass with dots in the Dorothy House colours of pale pink and deep purple, is on sale now, with all profits going to the Winsley-based hospice.

The Dotty 2011 bauble costs £12.50, with all profits going to Dorothy House. It is available now from Bath Aqua Glass in Walcot and Orange Grove, and online at www.bathaquaglass.com. It will also be on sale at Bath Christmas Market, which runs from 24 November to 11 December, and at the festive markets in Winchester and Birmingham.

Annette Dolan, owner of Bath Aqua Glass, decided to create the Dotty 2011 bauble to raise funds for the hospice, which cared for her mother, who died earlier this year. Annette said: “My mother’s name was Dorothy and she is the reason we want to raise money for Dorothy House. Before our experience, I did not realise the extent of the care the hospice provides. All I can say is, without the support of Dorothy House I would have found it very difficult to nurse my mother in her own home.
