Dorothy House welcomes all patients to this section of our website

The web-site is organised in sections about your individual care, group care, information available to download, access to our A-Z information, other facilities that are available and how you can be referred to our services.

Being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness should not mean that ‘normal’ life grinds to a halt.  However, many people need help to deal with the consequences of such a diagnosis.

We hope that the information provided will help you to decide what Dorothy House services you might like to access.  There is a specific section to highlight the support that is also available for those who might care for you. All services are available free of charge to those who need them.

We have trained volunteers working alongside our professional teams, under supervision, both at the hospice in Winsley and out in the community.
