Sandler Training Managing Director, Roger Plahay, has teamed up with Dorothy House Hospice Care to raise funds during 2014.
With his specialist sales development & management training business already increasing sales performance of clients in the Bath, Bristol & Wiltshire areas, Roger has chosen to support Dorothy House Hospice Care as a way of making a social contribution to the community.
He said: “I’d decided some time ago I wanted to add a charitable dimension to my business, and wanted to support an organisation whose own values chime with my own personal values and business goals. Dorothy House do exactly that, enriching the lives of people they touch.
“I’ve worked in the corporate sector for many years where good organisations take corporate social responsibility very seriously. However, many small businesses don’t consider that they too can make a real difference. This year I wanted to put on some workshops that not only help local entrepreneurs and business owners, but also help raise funds from my business over a sustained period of time,for the community I live in. I’ve set a first-year goal of raising at least £1,000 for Dorothy House.”
Roger’s workshops will introduce innovative new approaches to sales that have been successfully employed by clients of Sandler Training in over 300 training centres across more than 30 countries globally, and trained by Roger in and around Bath, Bristol & Wiltshire.
“Proceeds from my Sales Skills workshops will go to Dorothy House. The event is suitable for business owners, managing directors and professional service practitioners who want to further grow revenue for their business, but might find they are either uncomfortable in a ‘selling role’, concerned they aren’t generating enough leads, struggling to close deals or find they are being squeezed on price,” Roger said.
