Driver

Covering over 700 square miles, our network of volunteer drivers provides a lifeline for Dorothy House patients and carers.  Using their own vehicles, Drivers collect people from their homes and take them to Dorothy House sites for a range of appointments.   

We are looking for friendly, physically fit people with a full driving license to volunteer as Drivers.  Using their own cars, Drivers transport patients, carers and family members to and from appointments.  They also provide reassurance and companionship, so sensitivity and good communication skills are essential.          
•    Travel expenses are paid
•    Full training is given
•    Regular supervision and support is provided
•    Applications are welcomed from all sections of the community
