Want to use your sewing skills for a good cause? Then why not help to run our successful ‘Sewing Bee’ sessions.
Our Sewing Bees turn donated material into items such as purses, bunting, bags, cushions covers and lampshades to sell at Dorothy House Shops. We need friendly people with sewing skills – by hand or with a machine – and the willingness to share them with others. As the role may involve contact with patients and carers it will also require sensitivity.
• The Sewing Bee will take place at Peasedown Outreach Centre • Friday 10.00 – 12.00 for 10 weeks starting in September 2014 and then at intervals throughout 2015 • Applications welcomed from all sections of the community • Full training given • Regular supervision and support provided • Travel expenses paid
