Chaplaincy

Chaplains are an integral part of the Dorothy House multi-professional team.

They are available to all carers family and friends of Dorothy House patients Monday – Friday, 9-5 and at other times upon request from DH staff or by prior arrangement.

Our team is made up of an ordained priest, The Rev Richard Warhurst (full-time), an Assistant Chaplain who works 3 days per week, and several lay-chaplains who are a mix of ordained or lay volunteers.

The chaplaincy team can meet both formally or informally with people in and outside of the Hospice environment to discuss any issues or concerns you may have.  We can help when someone is ill or afterwards in bereavement.
